Willy Rizzo for Cidue Suede Chairs - Set of 4
These late 1960’s suede and chrome chairs were designed for Italian furniture concern Cidue by Willy Rizzo. Rizzo made his way into the newly minted “jet-set” as a photographer for Playboy magazine and his designs were very popular, often utilizing modernist elements inspired by Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. He received commissions from many cultural icons including Salvador Dali and Brigitte Bardot. These suede and chrome chairs are typical of the style and silhouette of this era – streamlined and juxtaposing soft rust colored suede with bright chrome.
Condition: the chrome has minimal wear and rust spotting (see images) and the suede has been professionally dry cleaned with no rips, holes, or tears and minimal stains. One chair has a bluish mark.
