Shipping Channels Explained

Commercial Ground Shipping:

  • AKA UPS, FEDEX, USPS

  • Upon checkout for smaller items, you will see carrier calculated shipping. This is based on the size and weight of the item and the distance it will travel, directly from the shipping company.

  • If you are ordering multiple small items feel free to reach out about a group-ship quote for your items.

  • Please note, being that we are a small business and we do not get the cheaper commercial rates for shipping with these companies as larger scale retailers do.

Crating Services:

  • We suggest crating when smaller items are over 70 lbs or if there is a significant amount of glass in the piece (e.g. stained glass windows, glass display cases etc.)

  • Crating services will be a separate cost added to the cost of shipping. This accounts for the wood, time put in to build them and packing materials.

  • Once crated, the weight and dimensions of the entire crate and the distance traveled are what is used to calculate the shipping cost.

“White Glove” Shipping:

  • “White Glove” is a term that is used to say “special handling.” For us, it means when a piece is too fragile and/or large to be crated or packaged, it will need to be blanket-wrapped and hand carried with extra care to its destination. As you can imagine, this is not cheap!

  • Pricing is calculated based on weight, dimensions, fragility and distance traveled.

  • If you are located in a remote location, this will also affect the cost.

  • We use one trusted shipper and are happy to get you a custom quote based on your shipping address (not just zip code). Use the form at the top of the page to get a quote started!

  • *PLEASE NOTE* White Glove Shipping TIMELINE: This specialized service can take multiple months from confirming the service with our shipper to the day it arrives on your door step.

  • If you would like to try to find your own shipper, we are happy to work with you! Just know that once it leaves our shop we will no longer shoulder any liability or be able to assist with damage claims.

  • Portland and Salem, if you are a little out of that let us know and we can maybe make it happen.

  • Our availability for this service will fluctuate, we are a small business and do our best to accommodate our customers.

  • We deliver to accessible ground floor locations (e.g. main entry ways, garages)

  • Costs will depend on distance and how many employees it takes to load and unload.
