








Westinghouse Spotlight
Founded in 1886, the Westinghouse Electric Company was one of the dozens of companies founded by innovator George Westinghouse. Responsible for the introduction and development of alternating current for light and power, Westinghouse Electric Company was a direct competitor of Thomas Edison. Soon after, by acquiring Nikola Tesla’s patents for a particular current and induction motor, Westinghouse became the leader in electric power development. The design and manufacture of large-scale lighting was a natural segue.
This massive spotlight bears the classic Westinghouse logo. While the base is newly handcrafted, the spotlight itself is original and in mint condition. A convex strip type lens dominates a plated brass body. Completely rewired.
Lens measures 23″ in diameter.
