This grape hod, or hotte, would have been used by grape harvesters in Germany to carry picked grapes while working in the field, so they may be transported to barrels for wine making. This one has a particularly pleasing weathered green and red paint scheme with old world lettering and a black band. This hotte makes a lovely vessel for dried floral arrangements, or a collectible accent on its own, in a rustic, French country style home.
