The recessed brass pull and the continuous grooves along the top and bottom denote its use on a slider track - alluding to its function to control the flow of information, medication, or contamination! It’s hard not to think about the epidemics and the many cases it has been witness to through the ages. But despite all that, she’s looking quite spry. Its reverse-painted header, with its scarlet red serifed lettering over a lemon yellow background, is still crisp and clear. Its walnut frame with incise carved corner detailing and ebonized inner trim still shine as the day they were assembled.
