This copper rim lock is an elegant solution for a flush closet door or cupboard. Hardware like this would have been used to latch doors on a rail car in the late 1800s, when folks traveled in style. Knob slides horizontally to latch and unlatch. Set includes decorative escutcheon for verso of door. Please note that the spring-operated latch functions, but the locking mechanism within the rim lock has been removed, so it will need repair in order to lock and unlock.
