Stained, beveled, & jeweled, oh my!
A leaded design consisting of a central ruby red jewel, surrounded by four petaled diamonds, encased by teal-green glass foliage, superseding a background of ovoid-shaped red and gold glass, wrapped by a mitred corner grid of alternating blue, red, and gold rectangular border glass. With its overall symmetry, this window works well both vertically or horizontally.
Glass panel is set in original wood frame with glazing strips - both sides of which are stained a classic walnut. Its reinforcing bars have kept the piece firm and flat through the years. An interesting thing to note is that one of the beveled panes has a shallow-sloped edge polished from the middle outward (shown in second to last photo), indicting a reuse of a previously beveled pane. Throughout panel there is only one cracked pane, but it has been epoxied stable (shown in last photo).
