The combination of metallic silver paint with the tramp art woodworking is an eye catcher to say the least and these two sculptures look both modern and antique! Emerging from working class folks like laborers and farmers, tramp art first started as a hobby and turned into its own type of aesthetic. These tramp art pieces were made by carving v-shaped notches into small strips of wood and layering them into different patterns and designs; the more meticulous the work, the more intricate the designs! Sold separately, these pieces fit together with the sculptural box sitting atop the pedestal, but could be displayed separately.
