Pegge Hopper was born in Oakland, California, and studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In the 1960s she moved to Hawaii, though she did not begin this series until the 1970s. Her works are now found in esteemed collections around the world and her illustrations have adorned hotels, airlines, and magazines with their bold abstracted fields of color. This print is a signed lithograph, marked 48 of 50 in pencil. Handsomely framed in a Koa wood frame with a coordinated mat in green.
