Jennings Company was based out of Chicago and founded in the early 20th century by Ode Jennings, who got his start working in an arcade called “The Spectatorium” at the 1904 World’s Fair. Jennings would go on to found an amusement company that made everything from scales to vending machines.  This scale includes suggested ideal body weights for the time (circa 1930’s) on its face, so you can have a good chuckle about how much our nutritional priorities have changed since the early 20th century.
