Dr. Paavo Airola (1918-1983)
Born in Karelia, Finland. Studied in Stockholm, Sweden at the Gruenwald School of Art, the Otle Skold's Art School and the Academie Libre. After World World War II he emigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Colborne, Ontario. He then moved to the United States, settling in Arizona. Primarily a painter of landscapes and portraits. Doctor Paavo Airola authored fourteen books, two of which became international best-sellers. During his lifetime, mainstream medicine regarded Doctor Airola as a controversial figure, presenting therapeutic approaches which challenged traditional medicine.
