This circa 1920s shop display sign features a waterslide decal of the Lowe Brothers “Little Blue Flag”
logo with the initials “H.S” for High Standard. This rare trade sign would have predated the more commonly found porcelain advertising signs used in the 1930s, and would have been used in a countertop display of the Ohio based paint manufacturer’s products. Pasted to the back is the remnants of the catalog listing for this display, with a black and white photo of the sign with rows of wood planks hanging, each painted one of the Lowe Brothers paint colors.
