No one could ever get the morbs over this beauty! Sporting a Victorian-era print technique called “transferware” which is a 3-step process used on earthenware, bone china, ironstone and porcelain, as seen here. The process begins with a copper plate pattern that is used to print onto a specially sized paper which transfers the pattern to the material. This technique gained popularity in the early 1800s in the U.K. and is still used today, but in much lesser frequency.

There is slight wear as expected for an antique preloved sink but the printed porcelain is in impeccable shape. The basin waste pipe and the brass sink faucet (separate hot & cold taps) are included. The maker’s mark on the exterior of the basin reads "Manufactured Exclusively for JL Mott Iron Works, John Dimmock & Hanley Staffordshire Potteries." We have added reference photos of similar options from the 1888 J.L. Mott catalog. This sink is an undermount, and was functioning with the existing parts when it was previously installed.
