Densely layered with faceted angles, this handmade frame is substantial in size and style! This frame is made from many layered scraps of boxes and has some scraps of french language newspaper glued to the back, which suggests it may have been made in Canada or in an area with French-speaking workers. It is currently mounted to a thin plywood sheet for stability. Stained in a rich brown with subtle honey tones that highlight the intricate texture of the carving. This frame would be a beautiful statement piece above a buffet table or mixed in with your tramp art frame collection on a gallery wall.
