“Free” Mt. Hood Placemat Tourist Banner
So, as you may have guessed, this banner isn’t free but the concept certainly fits the subject matter. Back in the days when traveling the open road by automobile was fresh, fun, and exciting tourist spots in popular destinations would often offer all sorts of commemorative ephemera to lure intrepid travelers off the dusty trail. This one is obviously near and dear to us here in Oregon, but it holds its own anywhere as a rare slice of American tourism history. Printed on canvas, the banner is in great shape and the bright orange color still has a nice pop. Circa 1950’s.
