Alec Fraser-Brunner (6 April 1906 – 17 Sept 1986) was a British ichthyologist that had a special interest in marine life and was hired to do all original illustrations for this publication. The book is in overall good condition considering its age. The dust jacket has been lost but the original light blue cloth binding with gold lettering, fish and fishermen ornaments is still in decent condition with some fading on the spine.
