Art Deco Sentry Safe

$595.00

This safe might be small in stature, but it is built to last - Its stamped-steel construction would’ve given Bonnie and Clyde, Al Capone, or even John Dillinger a run for their money!

SentrySafe began in 1930 in Rochester, NY, founded by John D. Brush Sr. and Willard Punnett, pioneering mass-market fire-resistant safes using steel stamping technology, with the family-run John D. Brush & Co. growing to become a global leader before being acquired by Master Lock (Fortune Brands) in 2014, leading to the eventual closure of its Rochester operations and relocation to Mexico for manufacturing.

What most likely is one of their earliest models, this safe’s combination lock still operates and even has a key for securing one of its internal drawers. Also comes with three pieces of paper from different owners detailing combo instructions (shown in the last few photos with information redacted). All four wheels are intact and roll smoothly from side to side. The original finish has some scrapes and losses as well as paint transfer, but is otherwise in excellent condition given its age and use.
