Victor S. Johnson (1882-1943), founder of the Aladdin Lamp and Imperial Lighting Co., was inspired by the Arabian Nights story of Aladdin as a child. He established the Mantle Lamp Company of America in Chicago, in 1908, and steadily gained a favorable reputation for their quality and selection of lighting and supplies. The Aladdin Company through its many iterations is going strong still to this day!

This mid-century era sign, once lit from within, glowed as a beacon in the night - alluding to the time-tested wares found within. Sign is made of plastic and wrapped in a metal frame.
