5 Pink Roses Stained Glass Window
I’ve seen quite a few windows in my time, but none that a group consensus has so unanimously deemed as “beautiful”!
Its undulating floral motifs read as Art Nouveau, while its rigid straight borders point more to an Arts and Crafts arrangement. Inversely, the roses, though framed like Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s geometric representation, has a rather Victorian pictorialist depiction. Stylistically we determine this transitional piece to be late 1800s - early 1900s.
It is well constructed with a myriad of multicolored textured slag glass and fancy edged lead came that gives it depth. It’s also that perfect size - just small enough to fit most standard window configurations, and just large enough to make a splashy statement. Use this window to turn any room into a garden!
*Note: one cracked pane, stabilized with epoxy (last photo).
